What should I check when an FC 27 tool stops working after a game update?
Closed thread Closed by archiveFor general troubleshooting, what do you check first when a third-party FC 27 utility suddenly stops opening after the game updates? I don't have enough information to say whether a specific tool is broken, so this is more about a sensible checklist.
I'd rather not start changing random Windows settings or downloading a replacement file from a comment. Is checking the current version and the provider's status notice the right first move?

I'd restart the normal launcher and Windows first too, but don't keep retrying a third-party tool if the provider says it's not compatible with the current build.
Absolutely no mystery download links. If the file changed, get clarification from the original support channel rather than trusting a mirror.
And don't turn off Core Isolation, Secure Boot or other protections just to force something to run. If it asks you to weaken security, stop and ask what the actual requirement is.
A status page that has no date or version number isn't very useful either. Ask support for a current statement rather than guessing.
